A few weeks back Teebs released a limited edition hand-painted B-Sides counterpart of a selection of out-takes and remixes from Ardour. Only 150 were made and they sold out in under a day. For those that were unlucky enough to miss out on securing one you’ll be happy to know that Teebs has now made available a previously unreleased CDR from 2009. Similar in vein to the B-Sides release, the unnamed 2009 CDR contains a total of 10 tracks containing a selection of unreleased pieces and alternate versions of music that didn’t originally make the cut for Ardour or the B-Sides.

A few weeks back I received an email from a producer named 22tape. Having come across the blog, he was in the midst of doing some self-promo for an upcoming EP release of his – MosaicChangeTone. Included was a link to download said EP. Summed up in the email, he described the release as “downbeat vinylistic hip hop with a smidge of glitch” – instantly I was intrigued.

I really enjoy being confronted with music that I have no previous knowledge of. Needless to say I jumped at the chance of being offered up some fresh beats from a producer Id never heard of. When your offered up new music like that you have no expectations. There’s nothing previous to judge your listening on – you’re mind is open and the music is able to do it’s work as intended. And work the music did.

Glitch-Hop is on the menu. It’s all iv been listening to lately. Iv been on a bit of a hiatus from other music. Ever find how you sway from genre to genre? One month you might be totally obsessed with a particular sound and that’ll be the only thing you listen to for weeks on end, and then as fast as it begun, it’ll stop and you’ll find it all sounding really stale? Well, over the past few months iv been on the glitch train, and I can’t see it sounding stale any time soon.
